Pont Neuf Releases April 26th

Hi, everyone!

Sorry for the long time between updates. Last year was wild for me. I had a number of life changes and challenges which ended up delaying production of the record. Through all of it, I released two singles through 2023, “The Moon” and “Avoid the Void.” I want to thank you all for the love I’ve received around those releases.

This art was created by the wonderful Tash Prather, with Auguste Renoir’s original Pont Neuf painting.

One of the main themes on this record is mental health, and it’s only fitting that it had to be involved in the process… I suppose. I received a diagnosis of bipolar disorder (something I had written about unconsciously for the record in “Sometimes It’s.”) The good news is, this has significantly helped me take care of myself via therapy and meds. I had planned on dedicating this record to mental health awareness due to the themes. Make sure to be kind to yourself and seek resources if you need them.

The better news is, I’m cruising toward the finish line after a turn for the better in the beginning of this year. Production wrapped up late March/early April. I’m very happy with how the songs have come out! I’m commissioning Rich at The Spot Studios here in Colorado to create a special vinyl master for the physical release.

Speaking of which, the vinyl will be a marble color vinyl! Vinyl will take about 2-3 months to produce, and they’ll ship in July-August. Digital copies of the album are included with every vinyl purchase via email when the album releases online. You can preorder vinyl in the store.

If you haven’t already, make sure to join my Discord fan club to stay on top of updates regarding my projects in general, shows, online concerts, and just to hang, man. I also have Facebook, instagram, TikTok (for now, haha) and a YouTube channel. Those are great places to catch extra content. Which brings me to the last bit of news…

I’m creating a mini-documentary about the creation of this album! Don’t expect any expert directing. I’ve always loved liner notes, and this video will serve as visual liner notes for the album, with behind-the-scenes content. This will be available on my YouTube channel around the time of the album release.

Thanks everyone, I love you!

Mike
